Little Bit o' Lovin' Thursday!

As I mentioned on an earlier post, I had a life-changing "ah-ha" moment when my friend told me one day that her mantra that she lives by is "There is Only Love". There is nothing else. Nothing else matters. In each moment of our lives we have a choice, a simple one really. Do we choose Love, or do we not.

We all need love in the cyber world. There's nothing like a shout out for a job well done, or a nice comment left on your wall. For us that are new to the blogging world, there's nothing like someone choosing to click that "Follow" button!

So here's a shout out to some wonderful blogs that I found this week. It's my little way of spreading a little bit of love your way. ;)
Thanks for all you do!

Moon Unit

I have been participating in The Science Week linky party going on at Teaching Blog Addict's website (Teaching Blog Addict ). Today we are sharing some freebies from some of our Science units. I love teaching about the moon! October is the perfect month to get the kids outside observing the moon before the moon gets low in the southern sky. There are so many wonderful web sites that provide observation of the moon. One such website is Earth and Moon Viewer (Earth and Moon Viewer).

Here is a free handout from my "All About the Moon" Unit on TpT. Be sure to stop in on Friday when both my "All About the Moon" Unit and my Apple and Seasons Unit will be on sale 50% off!
There is only Love,
Rebecca

And in celebration of NASA finding water on the moon ( see this link Water on Moon- NASA), here are a couple of free water downloads. Enjoy!

Science Week at Teaching Blog Addict

I love this linky party going on at Teaching Blog Addict's website (Teaching Blog Addict )! Yesterday, we were to share books that we turn to for teaching our Science Units and today we are to share our favorite websites. Since I'm a day behind, I thought I'd share a few of both.

Books I Love For Teaching Science:

My absolute favorite books to teach science with are by Thomas Locker! I own all of his books and wish I could just frame some of his beautiful illustrations! Any of his books are a must have in your collection. My favorite is Sky Tree. It teaches about the how a tree changes throughout the seasons.

Gail Gibbons Books:
Her books are full of information!

Let's-Read-And- Find-Out  books:
These books come in different levels for different grades. I love how the gear the language to a particular age!

My Favorite Science Links:

This has a wonderful search engine within the site that allows you to search on many topics. And the great thing is, it is free!! =)

And of course, I love The Magic School Bus episodes! I usually download them onto iTunes and play them from there. =)
